KATHMANDU, July 10: The meeting of both the houses of the federal parliament is being held today. The meeting of the National Assembly will begin at 11 am, while the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) will begin at 3 pm.

In today's National Assembly meeting, there will be discussion on the budget allocation for National Planning Commission, Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, President, Vice President, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and Ministry of Health and Population.

In today's meeting of the HoR, the bill will be tabled with the message received from the National Assembly regarding the Nepal University Bill, 2080 BS, which originated in the National Assembly, and the motion to seek permission to introduce the Bill, 2080 BS to amend some Nepal Acts presented by Gyan Bahadur Shahi, Prem Suwal, Sobita Gautam, Sumana Shrestha along with a notice of opposition received by them. Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dhanraj Gurung has proposed to present the bill to amend certain Nepalese laws, including the Nepal Act Amendment Bill 2080, and to discuss the proposal to amend some provisions of the National Criminal Code, 2017 related to the bill in the National Assembly. The work schedule has been prepared to discuss the received amendments to the aforementioned bill and to present them for decision.
