KATHMANDU, July 15: Probability of tabling the Medical Education Ordinance, 2075 is high on today’s House of Representatives meeting at 1 PM. While the ordinance was scheduled to be tabled last week itself, the opposition, Nepali Congress stalled the process demanding the original, and not the replaced one be presented.

Against government’s decision to bring a medical education ordinance replacement bill, Dr. Govinda KC is on his 15th fast unto death hunger strike at Jumla. The government’s move has resulted in widespread criticism from rights activists and the opposition.

Likewise, health condition of KC is deteriorating at Jumla. The Ministry of Education issued a press statement urging the social crusader to come to Kathmandu to resolve the ongoing issues.
