KATHMANDU, Jan 24: The Medical Education Commission has urged all to remain aware and alert about the negative impact of misleading information on sensitive issues like examinations.

Issuing a press statement on Sunday, the Commission clarified that the integrated entrance exam for various educational programs for Postgraduate Level were held in an organized and disciplined manner in various four centers across the country including Kathmandu Valley on January 22 and 23.

The Commission said that its attention was drawn towards the misleading news that the question papers were leaked prior to the entrance examination.

The press statement signed by member-secretary of the Commission Dr Bhojraj Sharma Kafle said that the Commission had requested the Central Investigation Bureau to carry on investigation into three candidates who were attempting to do wrongful acts in the entrance examination.

Meanwhile, three phony students were held from two exam centers who were allegedly trying to take entrance exams for the original examinees.

The Commission said that another exam slated for January 24 will be held as per the schedule. It claimed the confidentiality and security of the question papers were well managed.
