Meat entrepreneurs arrested

MYAGDI, July 4: Ten meat entrepreneurs were arrested in district headquarters Beni on the charge of running meat shops without meeting standards.



Those selling she-goat’s meat on the price of he-goat by cheating the consumers, selling stale, dirty and rotten meat and denying publishing the price list were arrested on Friday morning. A team lead by Assistant Chief District Officer Bhimnidhi Tiwari for market monitoring handed over the arrested businesspersons to the District Police Office, Myagdi for further action.



Businesspersons Aslam Khan, Lala Khan, Yubraj Khan, Rajendra Shah, Bal Bahadur Khatri, Sikindra Alam, Bijay Gupta, Lokendra Thapa, Krishna Gupta and Joglal Patel were arrested by the team. They are kept at the District Police Office for investigation.
