At a meeting held at Maoist party office, Buddhanagar Saturday, Nepal Representative McGoldrick requested Chairman Mohan Baidya to extend support to the Constituent Assembly election.[break]
Vice-Chairman of the party, CP Gajurel said McGoldrick inquired the party about the nature of the election boycott and the party ensured him that it would be peaceful.
According to him, the Resident Representative said they wanted peace and prosperity in Nepal and the political parties followed election code of conduct. "We want you poll-opposing parties to make election boycott peaceful," said Vice-Chairman Gajurel quoting McGoldrick.
Baidya reiterated that the CA election must be postponed and if it is held now, people and the party would not accept it. The party´s agitation would be peaceful but if the government suppressed, it would invite confrontation, the party warned.
The Resident Representative had drawn the CPN-Maoist´s attention towards the incident occurred in the name of the party.
