KATHMANDU, Sept 24: Former Home Minister and politburo member of the main opposition CPN-UML, Ram Bahadur Thapa has said that the American Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) agreement should be passed after revising a few provisions.
Speaking at a press conference in the capital on Friday, he expressed the need for revising the MCC provisions that have been questioned.
“The provision to make investments without disclosing the source of income is wrong,” Thapa said. Stating that the national economy and the capital needs to be protected, he also accused the government of not being able to do that properly.
