Speaking at a program organized by the Nepalese Association of Financial Journalists (NAFIJ) on Wednesday, Chairman Golcha said, “MCC is vital for the country’s development, which is why we should welcome it instead of declining it.”
Similarly, Chairman Rajendra Malla of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce said that the COVID-19 pandemic has hampered the economy of the country. He said that the Nepal Rastra Bank addressed the issue by introducing a monetary policy. He also stressed the need to address the problem of lack of liquidity (investable amount) in the market, which has affected the private sector.
Likewise, Acting Chairman of Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) Krishna Prasad Adhikari mentioned that it is not only the private sector but also the government that has not been active in the recovery of the country’s economic recovery.
Adhikari said that the pandemic should be looked upon as an opportunity instead of a challenge. If the government facilitates the private sector, makes policy arrangements, and creates an investment environment, there will be no problem in economic recovery," he said.
