Mayor keeps his election promise, provides money to visually impaired

BETRAWATI, Oct 21: Mayor of Bidur municipality Sanju Pandit has provided Rs 30 thousand to visually impaired Krishna Bahadur Nepali of Lamatar, Bidur municipality-9 as promised during the election campaign.

BETRAWATI, Oct 21: Mayor of Bidur municipality Sanju Pandit has provided Rs 30 thousand to visually impaired Krishna Bahadur Nepali of Lamatar, Bidur municipality-9 as promised during the election campaign.

Pandit had announced that he would be providing Rs 2,000 a month to one differently able person in the municipality if he got elected to the post. Accordingly, Pandit handed over 15 months' amount to Nepali. 


Nepali does not have any property or land. He has been looking after his old father and wife who is also a disabled. ''It was very difficult to provide for the family with the money that we got under the social security allowance. Now, we have the money to at least buy rice with the money given by the mayor,'' Nepali said, expressing his happiness. RSS
