PM Oli’s 100 days: the good and the bad



Today marks the 100 days of KP Sharma Oli as the 41st prime minister of the country.  Oli assumed office on February 15, 2018 and on March 11, he secured vote of confidence by three-fourth majority. After becoming the 41st prime minister of the country, Oli said that the government would adopt zero tolerance policy against corruption and prioritize economic prosperity and development. 


SC summons govt for granting amnesty to Dhungel


Supreme Court (SC) has summoned the government for reasons why Maoist leader Bal Krishna Dhungel should be given amnesty. The government has to appear at the court on Sunday and furnish reasons as per the order.

Shesh Ghale’s net worth raises by over $200 mil in a year


 Non-Nepali resident Shesh Ghale and his wife Jamuna Gurung’s wealth rose by 35.4% in 2018 to become 81st richest couple in Australia. According to the Australian Financial Review’s report, the couple has net worth of $ 876 million, a rise from $647 million last year. Last year, the duo ranked 102 in the list published by the magazine every year. 


Twenty five passengers injured in bus accident


Three passengers are severely injured and another 22 sustained injuries after a passenger bus met in an accident at Bantolawa, Pipara rural municipality-3 of the district on Friday morning. The over-speeding bus (Na 3 Kha 7525) en route to Jaleshwor from Janakpur lost control while trying to steer away from a diversion of an under construction culvert to turn sideways in the field, according to district police office.

Eight women accuse Morgan Freeman of sexual harassment


Morgan Freeman tonight apologized after he was accused of sexual harassment by eight women who say he tried to grope them and leered at them on set.
