KATHMANDU, May 1: Sriya Adhikari and her family were elated when she received an email from the University of Texas Tyler (UT Tyler), USA. The email had opened doors for her future and given her immense confidence and sprout determination.  The email stated that she had received the Presidential Fellow Scholarship amounting US$ 20,968, full-ride to a four-year college.

'CPN (UML), CPN (Maoist Center) party unification on May 5'

Five people held for mistreating Nepali migrant worker in Oman

Five people have been arrested on the charge of mistreating a Nepali female migrant worker in Muscat of Oman. They were arrested with the help of Nepali Embassy in Oman. Nineteen-year-old Ram Kumari (name changed) of Butwal-13 was subject to their ill-treatment at Mabela on April 27 while searching for a new job.
