Mathematicians urge PM to prioritize maths

KATHMANDU, Sept 10: An expert team of mathematicians has urged Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to prioritize Mathematics in government business.

KATHMANDU, Sept 10: An expert team of mathematicians has urged Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to prioritize Mathematics in government business.


The team led by Prof Dr Ram Man Shrestha today reached the PM's residence, Baluwatar and informed him about the ongoing preparations to felicitate the notable Mathematicians across the country.

According to PM's press advisor Govinda Acharya, PM assured to pay attention towards the science sector as it would help ensure the development of the country. PM further suggested uniting science and mathematics for better result in any sector. 


Dr Shrestha said that they were planning to felicitate mathematicians who were over the age of 75 and taught the subject more than 50 years. 


The delegation team comprised representatives of Nepal Mathematics Centre, Nepal Mathematics Society, Mathematics Education Council and Mathematics Education Women Society. RSS
