Although the forest fire in certain area was doused with the community forest's caretakers, the fire is yet to put out completely due to the windstorms.

The stones from the sloppy areas are also falling down, causing difficulty in containing the fire, said Mahara.

The wild animals in the forest are beginning to enter the human settlement following the fire, posing risk to both humans and themselves as the chances are that poachers could be on the prowl, added Salleri Community Forest Chair Mohan Aiyer. RSS
