PANCHTHAR, Jan 11: A fire that broke out at Kummayak Rural Municipality of Panchthar on Sunday turned two houses into ashes.
The fire destroyed property worth Rs 7 million, according to the District Police Office, Panchthar.
The fire, which began from a shed belonging to Tej Bahadur Thapa of Kummayak-1, Okhaldhunga, has completely damaged Thapa’s three-story building, kitchen house, cow shed, cash, jewelry and food grains.
Similarly, the inferno also destroyed a house belonging to Dik Bahadur Thapa along with a shed, livestock, food grains and jewelry. Locals along with a team of Area Police Office Yasok were able to douse the fire after three hours.
