Market monitoring in Parasi begins

PARASI, Oct 3: District level joint monitoring team has started monitoring of the daily commodities in the market in Nawalparasi district headquarters, Parasi.



The market monitoring has been started with a view to controlling black marketing, price hike, date expired food items among others, on the eve of festivals and destroyed the goods that are banned in Nepali markets.[break]



The team comprised of representatives of Chambers of Commerce, Journalists, Consumers´ Forum, Food Test Office, Police, local administration, and representatives of Small and Cottage Industries monitored the market.



The team claimed they would take action against the businessmen that encourage price hike, artificial shortage, sale of inedible foods, among others, said Chairman of the Forum



Tikaram Gaire.Meanwhile, Police banned running hotels after 9:00 pm with the approaching great Hindu festivals of Dashain and Tihar.
