BIRGUNJ, April 4: Nepali Congress President Girirja Prasad Koirala on Saturday blamed the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) for pushing the country toward becoming failed state.
Speaking at a press meet organized by Press Union Parsa, Koirala said the widespread anarchism is pushing the country to failed state and the Maoists are responsible for that. “They have attacked religious faith in the name of appointing new priests, they have attacked judiciary in the name of protesting against its verdict, they have attacked Nepal Army and attacked press freedom by arresting Rishi Dhamala,” said ex-prime minister Koirala. "These all are examples of how the Maoists are promoting anarchy in the country."
Koirala said he does not give any importance to latests interview of former prince Paras* Shah to a Singapore newspaper.
Koirala, who came to Birgunj Friday to inaugurate national convention of party´s trade union returned to the capital Saturday morning.
