TAPLEJUNG, April 30: Maoists have captured a land belonging to former minister and RPP Nepal’s central co-chairman Padma Sundar Lawati at Angna-3 in Panchthar.

Saying that the land will be used by the party, the Maoists have warned Lawati not to use it onwards.

Maoist-aligned Intellectual Association’s central vice chairman Amar Singh Thapa has taken the responsibility for capturing the land.

We decided to capture Lawati’s land as he tortured farmers, who had been cultivating his land for long, by leveling false charges against them instead of paying for their labour, said Thapa.
