The cabinet termed the president´s move to reinstate the sacked army chief as a constitutional step.
"The meeting decided to launch a nationwide protest against the government´s decision on Thursday. We will take out a torch rally on Friday evening and all the district administration and other government offices across the country will be picketed on Sunday," UCPN (Maoist) Spokesman Dinanath Sharma told myrepublica.
The UCPN (Maoist) Chairman and prime minister of the erstwhile government, Dahal, stepped down after the president´s move to reinstate the army chief.
