Doramba, Aug 17: Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that his party will take a lead role to end anomalies and ill-practices in the country.
Addressing a condolence meeting organized on the 20th Doramba Massacre Memorial Day in Doramba of Ramechhap district on Thursday, PM Dahal said that the Maoist party which led the movement to transform the system will also end corruption in the country.
The Maoist party that fought for the country's sovereignty and indivisibility will bring about positive changes in people's lives, PM Dahal added.
TU plagued by anomalies and irregularities
"At present, there are several ill-practices in the country. Someone has to take a lead to end such malpractices. We, the Maoists, who sacrificed a lot for the movement to transform the country in the past, should now take the leadership for this," he said.
The PM also recalled his party's slogan of 'we changed the system; will now change the status' raised during the time of elections.
On the occasion, he said that the Maoist Party's Transformation Campaign will be run by linking with the acts of good-governance initiated by the incumbent government. "We will launch campaigns from both the government and the party as the new movement of socialism. We need support from all," Dahal said.
As the leader of the People's War, Dahal said he has high regards for the injured, physically challenged people, martyrs and those subjected to enforced disappearance.
For the reparation to the martyrs' families, the government is working to bring a new Act and the families of the disappeared will also be given a new life, said Dahal.
