Maoist to revive its 95-member central committee

KATHMANDU, Jan 10: Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) has decided to revive its 95-member central committee (CC) dissolved after Chunwang meeting some four years ago. Currently, Maoist’s CC has a total 35 members.


Maoist Secretariat Meeting held on Friday also decided to expand the 95-member CC to 150-member after the formal unification of the Maoist and Communist Party of Nepal (Unity Center) on January 13.


Maoist leader Dev Gurung said the expanded CC will be called General Convention Organizing Committee. Responsibilities for concerned leaders in the new Committee will be decided through mutual consensus.
