Maoist Center to discuss on cabinet expansion today

KATHMANDU, Oct 3: The ruling CPN (Maoist Center) is scheduled to hold discussions in the standing committee (SC) meeting on Sunday regarding the leaders to be sent from the party to join the government as ministers.

KATHMANDU, Oct 3: The ruling CPN (Maoist Center) has called a Standing Committee (SC) meeting today to pick names for the appointment of new ministers. 


Party Spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara said that no discussion on ministerial candidates was held at Saturday’s SC meeting about the party leaders for their ministerial responsibility in the incumbent government. "The issue will be discussed in the SC meeting," Mahara said.

The SC meeting held on Saturday discussed issues pertaining to the new leadership of the All Nepal National Independent Students Union (Revolutionary) as there were many aspirants for the top post of the party's student wing.  


According to the party leaders, Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has been entrusted with the responsibility to select the chair of the party's student wing.
