Maoist students vandalize college

MAHENDRANAGAR, March 22: Maoist-affiliated students have vandalized Janajyoti Campus in Mahendranagar and set furniture on fire demanding that college administration declare their candidates winner in the Free Students Union.

The cadres of All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union-Revolutionary claimed they were the only student organization to file candidacy for the FSU and were elected unopposed but other student organizations blame the Maoist students of barring them from filing candidacy. The college administration has closed down the college after the ANNISU-R cadres locked principal’s room.


The ANNISU-R cadres also beat up pulled out a 12-class student in Rediant Higher Secondary School from his classroom and beat him up. They accused Durga Singh Dhami of not supporting their candidate in Siddhanath Science Campus, according to Chakra Mahata, vice-president of Nepal Students Union .
