Maoist Center Chair calls for moving ahead hand in hand

KATHMANDU, Mar 24: CPN (Maoist Center) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal has called for cooperation to the party's campaign for moving ahead unitedly as a new opportunity of revolution was in hand. 

Addressing a felicitation program organized by the Rolpa-Kathmandu Liaison Forum here on Saturday, he said unity was necessary to safeguard the Rolpa campaign that epitomizes change and identity. 

The Maoist Center Chair said, "A big change could be brought about until there is leadership with principles, an organisation and public trust." He recalled that he resolved many problems during the political and militia campaign in the difficult days staying in Rolpa, saying that Rolpa has a global identity now. 

Noting that Rolpa played an important role in the international communist movement, the Maoist Centre Chairman and former Prime Minister said the political change in the coming days should be supported unitedly. 

The Forum had felicitated Dahal who represents Chitwan in the House of Representatives. 

On the occasion, Dahal felicitated the people's representatives born in Rolpa and elected to the House of Representatives and Province Assemblies from various places of the country. 

Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara, who was among the felicitated representatives, said Rolpa is a symbol and identity of change. He stressed that prosperity of Rolpa should be the common slogan of all. 

Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Barshaman Pun, who was also among those felicitated on the occasion, said society would be developed along with infrastructure development and that he would give special priority for the development of Rolpa. 

Others people's representatives felicitated on the occasion include House of Representatives members Onsari Gharti and Jayapuri Gharti and Province Assembly members Kul Prasad KC, Bhawana Subedi,Lal Kumari Pun, Dipendra Kumar Pun, Tularam Gharti and Raj Kumar Kunwar. RSS
