KATHMANDU, Aug 19: The general convention of the CPN (Maoist Centre) scheduled for January 7 next year has been postponed.

The Maoist Centre’s office held at the personal residence of Prime Minister and Party Chairman, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, at Lazimpat on Friday took the decision in this regard, said Party Spokesperson, Pampha Bhusal.

Bhusal said that the general convention was postponed as Chairman Dahal had to give priority to government works after his election to the post of the Prime Minister. She added that the next date of the convention would be determined later.

Similarly, the meeting postponed the meeting of General Convention Organising Committee scheduled for August 27.  Spokesperson Bhusal said, “The meeting of General Convention Organising Committee will be held at seven provinces in the presence of central office representatives.”  RSS
