BAGLUNG, Jan 26: Newly elected lawmakers Devendra Paudel and Tek Bahadur Ghartimagar have been slapped by Tulsi Ram Arayal, leader of CPN (Maoist Center).
CPN (Maoist Center) leader Devendra Paudel was elected from Baglung-2 to the House of Representatives while leader of Rastriya Janamorcha Tek Bahadur Ghartimagar was elected from Baglung 2 ‘B’.

According to an eyewitness, Arayal slapped lawmaker Paudel and Ghartimagar at Hotel Miraj in Dorpatan Municipality-1. He hit them saying that they did not inform and consult with him about the program organized at NishiKhola on Thursday. Arayal had actively participated in the election campaigns to make them victorious.
“During the scuffle, some glasses of the hotel were broken. However, no unpleasant incidents took place due to the patience of both the lawmakers”, the eyewitness said. Aryal confessed to the incident. Aryal added, “This incident resulted in due to their attitude toward the cadres; they always use us in the election period but don’t care after that.”
Aryal had faced defeat in the Constitutional Assembly elections with a little difference in 2013, but this time he was denied ticket for the election.
Paudel said, “While I was sitting at the hotel, Tulsi ji slapped me. He was drunk. Now I am returning to Baglung”.
