DHANGADI, Jan 28: CPN (Maoist Center) Sudurpaschim has instructed to immediately rectify the decision to change the leader of the provincial parliamentary party. In an official meeting chaired by Province chairman Hariram Chaudhary (Utsav) on Saturday, the party decided to instruct the parliamentary party to correct its decision.

According to the Maoist Center, the meeting, led by Deputy Leader Akkal Bahadur Rawal and held without the knowledge of Khagraj Bhatt, the leader of the parliamentary party, raised concerns about changing the party leader and the government.

“On January 26, a meeting of CPN (Maoist Center) Sudurpaschim Province Parliamentary Party, without the knowledge of party leader Comrade Khagraj Bhatt, raised serious concerns over Deputy Leader Comrade Akkal Bahadur Rawal's intention to change the party leader and government. The decision, made in disobedience to party tradition and central directives, poses a serious risk of anarchy and arbitrariness. This decision is against the sentiments of thousands of party cadres. Therefore, the parliamentary party is instructed to correct it immediately,” said the decision.

“The decision to disobey party tradition and central directives, leading to the risk of disorder and institutional damage due to arbitrariness, has prompted the parliamentary party to immediately rectify this decision. As it goes against the sentiments of thousands of party cadres, the parliamentary party is directed to address this promptly,” as stated in the decision.

The party also urged serious consideration of the issue within the parliamentary party and recommended taking initiatives to resolve the dispute in the presence of the central office.

A meeting of the majority of provincial assembly members of the Maoist Center Sudurpaschim Parliamentary Party held on Friday decided to remove Bhatt and appoint Man Bahadur Dhami as the leader of the party.

Showing the reasons why the performance of the parliamentary party and the provincial government is not satisfactory, they submitted a memorandum to the party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is also the prime minister, on January 6 and requested that the party leaders and ministers be changed.

At the same time, a controversy has arisen in the Maoist Center Sudurpaschim after the majority of the provincial assembly members, who warned that if they do not proceed according to the sentiments of the majority, they will take a decision according to the statute of the parliamentary party and change the leader of the party.
