Mango sorbet

Mango sorbet is the perfect summer refreshment and cools you down during extremely hot summer days. Here, we present a very simple recipe for it that will help you make the best sorbet you will ever have.

Ingredients

    Ripe mangoes – peeled and diced

    Powdered sugar

Whisk in the salt and lemon juice too.

Add it into an ice cream maker and freeze it for about three hours before you serve it.

If you do not have an ice cream maker, pour this mixture into a shallow freezer-safe container and place it in the freezer.

Every 30 minutes, take the sorbet mix out stir it and mash up any frozen parts with a fork.

Try to level out the mixture more and more every time you stir it.

Your sorbet is ready to be served once it’s firm.

Mango-ginger cocktail

Make this cocktail at home the next time you have friends over and wow them with your special bartending skills. The sharp taste of ginger works phenomenally well with the sweetness of mango and the freshness cilantro provides. Also, this takes just under 10 minutes to make.

Ingredients

    Fresh ginger knobs

    Diced ripe mangoes

    Cilantro leaves

    Sugar

    Water

    Freshly squeezed lemon juice

Directions

Add equal amounts of water and sugar in a pan over low heat and stir constantly until the sugar melts completely. This is the simple syrup. Let it cool it down before you use it.

Muddle the ginger knobs in a glass and drain out the juice with a fine mesh strainer. This is the ginger juice.

Mix together mango, cilantro, lemon juice, ginger juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker and give it a few good shakes.

Add in the ice cubes and tequila and shake again.

Pour it into a glass and garnish with additional cilantro if you want to.
