Manang Air helicopter crashes in Lamjura

KATHMANDU, July 11: A helicopter belonging to Manang Air that had gone out of contact has been found crashed in Lamjura. The helicopter that flew from Surke, Solukhumbu, to Kathmandu was found crashed in the Lamjura area of Solukhumbu district.

KATHMANDU, July 11: A helicopter belonging to Manang Air that had gone out of contact has been found crashed in Lamjura. The helicopter that flew from Surke, Solukhumbu, to Kathmandu was found crashed in the Lamjura area of Solukhumbu district.


Sources informed Republica that the bodies of five of the six people on board the helicopter were found at the crash site. The police have reached the accident site. Rescue operations are underway.

The helicopter with the call sign 9N-AMV which had flown from Surke in Solukhumbu to Kathmandu at 9:52 in the morning today lost contact at 10:1 in the morning. Captain Chet Bahadur Gurung was flying the helicopter and five Mexicans were on board.
