Man who swindled Rs 3.9 million arrested from TIA

KATHMANDU, Jan 5: Police have netted an operator of a manpower agency for swindling Rs 3.9 million from six aspirants of foreign jobs.

Metropolitan Police Crime Division, Teku said manager of the Gwarko-based Nelco International Manpower Company Bijayraj Khadka, 24, was arrested from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA.)

Police said Khadka hailing from Jhapa took Rs 6, 5000 each from Sagar Nepali, Narendra Shrestha, Prakash Amgai, Kailash Kumar Pakhrin and Kumar Shrestha of Chandragiri-7 in Kathmandu.

He had promised the youths of sending them to Singapore for training and providing them employment after conclusion of the training.

Khadka was about to leave the country, police said, adding he has been sent to Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur for further action.
