Man staying at home quarantine dies in Gulmi

GULMI, June 19: One person who was staying at home quarantine here in the district died on Thursday evening.

The 69-year-old man was staying at home quarantine in Chhatrakot Rural Municipality-5, Maindanda after returning from the Indian city of Mumbai some two weeks ago, according to chairman of Chhatrakot, Madhukrishna Panth.

“He had been a paralysis patient for long. After he tested positive for COVID-19 via the rapid diagnostic test, he had been kept at home quarantine,” Chairman Panth added.

His swab samples have been extracted and will be sent to the provincial lab for COVID-19 testing. Nepal Army personnel are making necessary preparations to cremate his dead body.
