According to Inspector Manjil Mukarung at Metropolitan Police Crime Division, they arrested Keshav Bahadur Gurung over killing of Jackey aka Asmit Basnet of Chaurikharka , Solukhumbu district.[break]
Basnet, who was seriously injured in Khukuri attack on last Sunday, was rushed to Maharjgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital where he breathed his last later on.
According to preliminary police investigation, Gurung killed Basnet following a dispute over money.
Though police said that they arrested Gurung from Kakadbhitta of Jhapa, it has been learnt that he was arrested from Baradwaa village of Silgudii, India as he was hiding there.
Gurung, who had been living at Sorhakhutte, was a native of katunje VDC Dhading. He had fled Kathmandu after the crime.
