According to Area Police Office of Tribhuvan Basti in Kanchanpur, Kallu Rana, 30, Bhallu Rana, 28 and Pattu Rana, 20, killed their brother Arjun Rana, 30, in a drunken brawl at Baise Bichwa VDC-5 Thursday night. [break]
Inspector Nripa Shah said the three bludgeoned Arjun to death with an iron-made hand pump. While Kallu and Bhallu are Ajrun´s siblings, Pattu is his cousin brother. According to Shah, the Rana brothers own a kattha of land and Arjun wanted to sell a portion of the land which Kallu, Bhallu and Pattu strongly objected.
“The three had been wrangling with Arjun over this issue for many years,” said inspector Shah. “They were all drunk when the incident happened.”
The police have arrested Kallu and Pattu for Arjun´s murder while Bhallu is at large.
