Man held with two kilograms of smuggled gold

KATHMANDU, July 21: Police have arrested a man in possession of two kilograms of smuggled gold from Nagdhunga.

KATHMANDU, July 21: Police have arrested a man in possession of two kilograms of smuggled gold from Nagdhunga.


Bhim Bahadur Tamang, 17, of Rasuwa district was arrested by Metropolitan Police Circle, Thankot at 9:30 pm on Saturday.

Chief of Metro Police Thankot, Kumar Bikram Thapa told Republica Online that Tamang was arrested during a security check at Nagdhunga when he was coming to Kathmandu by bus from Galchi, Dhading. Tamang had concealed smuggled gold on his waistband, according to the police. Police have launched an investigation against Tamang.
