SIRAHA, Jan 1: Police have arrested a person with a sub-machine gun in Golbazaar municipality-4 along the East-West Highway of the district on Tuesday.
The arrested is 46-year-old Chaturnarayan Chaudharyi of Dhangadhimai municipality-11, SP Jeevan Kumar Shrestha, chief of District Police Office, Siraha told Republica Online.

The police also seized two magazines of the gun and five rounds of bullets from Chaudhari’s possession during a security check at Gol Bazaar while he was heading west on a motorbike, Sa 1 Pa 3741.
On December 23, a presser cooker bomb and pamphlets reading Independent Tarai Army had been found at Golbazaar.
Chaudhari has been charged under Arms and Ammunition Act, said Shrestha.
