ITAHARI, August 6: A man of Gadhi Rural Municipality, Sunsari was found dead in a toilet of his in-laws house on Sunday.
As informed by Area Police Office, Duhabi, thirty-year-old Ganarup Yadav of ward-5 of Gadhi Rural Municipality was found hanging by a black shawl the toilet of his in-laws at ward-2 of the same rural municipality. He was found dead at around 5:30 am and the family members reported about the incident to the police at around 6 am.
"The body was lying down and the shawl was cut in the middle," said Inspector Shailesh Neupane, of Duhabi Police. In-laws of the deceased gave statement to the police that they cut the shawl immediately after finding him hanging, expecting that he might be saved.
Ganarup had been staying at his in-laws with his wife since a week. The couple has a ten-year-old son and a three-year-old daughter. According to the in-laws of the deceased, Ganarup had stayed at someone else's house on Saturday night.
As per the preliminary investigation of police, it has been found that there was a dispute going on between the deceased and his father-in-law over a financial issue. After working for two years in Saudi Arabia, Ganarup had returned home just few months ago.
"His father-in-law had used up around Rs 800,000 when he was abroad for foreign employment," said Inspector Neupane, adding, "That had made their relationship bitter."
Recently, both of them were jointly building a concrete house due to which they were having lots of issues related to money, informed the police. Ramrup Yadav, brother of the deceased, on Sunday gathered some people of his village and protested against Ganarup's father-in-law accusing him of not returning back his money. Police have stated that further investigation will be carried after receiving the postmortem report.
