Man faces music for marrying second wife

UDAYAPUR, April 3: District Court Udayapur has sentenced a man to one year in jail along with a fine of Rs 5,000 for marrying a second wife.

UDAYAPUR, April 3: District Court Udayapur has sentenced a man to one year in jail along with a fine of Rs 5,000 for marrying a second wife.

A single bench of judge Tirtha Raj KC on Monday heard the case and sentenced 33-year-old Sanny Rai of Chaudandi Municipality-3 to one year in jail on the charge of marrying a second wife.


Shanta Rai had lodged a complaint at the District Court Udayapur, seeking a stringent action against his husband for bringing a second wife.
