Human-Tiger Coexistence Amidst Rising Tiger Population
People accompanying Saru at the time reported the incident to police, said Police Inspector Sagar Panta.
The incident site lies some 500 metres south from the Arunkhola-Dumkibas road. Prior to this, a local community forest ranger was killed in the tiger attack at Binayi Tribeni rural municipality-1 in November end. Both these incident sites lie in some distance.
The Binayi Tribeni rural municipality a few days ago had issued a notice, warning locals about rising menace of tiger and urging them to not visit the forest areas. The locals terrorized following the incidents have demanded the shifting of the man-eating tiger to the park area.
