BIRATNAGAR, Feb 14: A man has been arrested for allegedly breaking into a showroom and stealing a car and a laptop in Biratnagar.
According to police, the suspect reportedly broke the glass door of Puja International Pvt Ltd, the Biratnagar branch of a Kathmandu-based showroom in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-3, near Airport Mode in the early hours of Thursday and used a key kept inside to steal a Volkswagen Tiguan car and a Dell laptop.

Upon receiving the report at around 8:30 am, a joint police team from the Koshi Province Police Office, the Provincial Investigation Team (PIT), and district police offices of Morang and Sunsari launched an operation. The suspect was intercepted at 12:30 pm in Sunsari’s Gadhi Rural Municipality-4, near Ikrahi, while heading toward Bhoka in Sunsari.
Following a preliminary investigation, police confirmed the car was stolen and arrested 24-year-old Mantosh Kumar Bin, son of Tarulal Bin from Biratnagar Metropolitan City-4. The recovered items include a Volkswagen Tiguan (registration number DTB 172097, red color) and a black Dell laptop found in the back seat of the vehicle.
