Man arrested for spreading rumors about COVID-19 patients

KATHMANDU, Sept 7: A man spreading rumors in a YouTube channel that the internal organs of those who die of COVID-19 are being trafficked was arrested by the Metropolis Crime Division, Kathmandu, earlier on Monday morning.


Subash Subba Limbu, has been arrested on the charge of spreading rumors about the organ trafficking of people dying of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease from his own clinic at Lalitpur named Antim Bikalpa Ayurved Clinic, according to SSP Dipak Thapa.

Limbu in his recent YouTube video is seen making the claim that the organs of those people dying of COVID-19 infection are trafficked and sold in the market.


The Metropolis Crime Division is making preparation to investigate the case.


Earlier, taking to various social media platforms, Limbu had also claimed to have developed a COVID-19 vaccine.
