KATHMANDU, May 7: Nepali Congress has nominated Birendra Majhi of Morang to the Constituent Assembly seat that fell vacant after death of Bodh Narayan Sardar.

Election Commission announced Wednesday that Majhi was elected to the vacant seat following Nepali Congress party’s recommendation. Majhi’s name was included in the proportional representation list submitted by the party before last year’s CA polls. Majhi is representing Madhesi Janajati group.
Sardar died in a motorcycle accident during opinion collection campaign for the new constitution a couple of months ago.
