Mahato warns of political quagmire

RAUTHAT, March 17: Sadbhawana Party chairman Rajendra Mahato has said that the country would be plunged into a political quagmire if the local polls were held without amending the constitution.


Speaking at a press meet organized by Rauthat chapter of Press Forum affiliated to Sadbhawana Party, Mahat accused the government and big parties of trying to exclude the Madhesh-based parties from the local polls.

He said that it would be meaningless to hold the local polls by mobilizing security personnel.


He claimed that the local polls would be as ridiculous as the ones held under the direct rule of former King Gyanendra.
