Mahato in an interaction program at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi last Tuesday said that the protests will move forward with three options in future.
In his first option, Mahato said the ongoing 'peaceful' protests will now turn into more violent protests. In his second option, Mahato said the protests will demand a separate state. "We have been demanding a separate province respecting the country's sovereignty," he added, "However, if this demand is not made we will protest for a separate nation."
Meanwhile, Mahato's third option is inciting communal violence in the ongoing protests. "If the Madhes protests are made unsuccessful than it will turn into communal violence," he added, "Hope the concern authorities will heed our demands and we don't have to go to that extent."
People have lost the trust on peaceful protests, Mahato said. "So we have been left with these three options."
The interaction program was chaired by Prof. SD Muni while UDMF leaders Mahanta Thakur, Upendra Yadav, Mahendra Rae and Chanda Chaudhary were also present in the interaction program. The interaction program was held when leaders were in Delhi visit.
