BIRATNAGAR, Sept 14: UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has claimed that CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal will not even win the post of a ward member in the upcoming elections.
Addressing the leaders and activists of his party at a gathering organized in his home district Jhapa, Oli accused Nepal of overthrowing the UML government from inside the party. Stating that there is no reason to vote for Nepal, Oli said that Nepal will see his status as it really is after the upcoming elections.

He also claimed that Nepal did not do anything in the party’s favour during his leadership. UML seats plummeted from 240 to just 33 under his leadership. Oli accused Nepal of not doing any work under his 16 years of party’s leadership, which was also the reason for his resignation from the post of party’s general secretary and the prime minister.
“Since Madhav Kumar Nepal has always played a role in degrading the UML, the party will not be affected just because he leaves,” Oli said.
