PATAN, Aug 7: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Ashok Rai has expressed the hope that the newly established Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology will focus on studies and research while standing out successful in providing world class education. 

Inaugurating the University amid a function here today in Lalitpur, the minister said, "The University will be successful in increasing the competitive economy of Nepal while producing efficient technicians and scientists."

On the occasion, a memorandum of understanding was reached between the University and the Larke Himal Herb Industry to jointly carry out research in the science and technology field, it has been said.

Dr Rajendra Dhoj Joshi, chairperson of the University Infrastructure Construction Development Committee and the Industry chairperson Dipak Pandey signed the MoU.
