Macchapuchre defends title

Kathmandu, April 26: Macchapuchre Bank defended its title in the Fifth Inter Bank Volleyball Tournament, defeating three- time winner Agriculture Development Bank (ADB) in the final. [break]



Macchapuchre defeated ADB in straight sets 25-18, 25-17, 25-18. Deepak Sapkota of ADB won the man of the match award. Likewise, Sunrise Bank eased past Global Bank 25-15, 25-15, 25-20 for the third place. Suraj Gurung of Global Bank was adjudged the man of the match.



The tournament was organized by Nepal Rastra Bank, to mark its 54th Anniversary. The top three teams will be awarded with cash prizes of Rs. 50,000, Rs.35,000 and Rs20,000, respectively.
