KATHMANDU, May 20: Lucknow Super Giants exited the IPL 2025 playoff race after Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated them by 6 wickets, ending their chances of qualifying.


Pat Cummins' team chased down the target of 206 runs in 18.2 overs while losing 4 wickets.

In the match at Ekana Stadium, Hyderabad won the toss and chose to bowl. Lucknow scored 205 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Openers Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram scored half-centuries, making 65 and 61 runs, respectively. Nicholas Pooran added 45 runs. Ishan Malinga took 2 wickets for Hyderabad.


During the chase, Abhishek Sharma scored 59, Heinrich Klaasen made 47, and Ishan Kishan contributed 35 runs. Digvijesh Rathi took two wickets for Lucknow.
