KATHMANDU, Sept 21: The low pressure system in the country's central and eastern regions is being blamed for a sudden change in the weather pattern bringing heavy rainfall.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has attributed the development of low pressure system for sudden rain in most part of the central and eastern regions.

The weather turned cloudy and rained due to the low pressure area in the east and central regions, meteorologist, Bibhuti Pokharel, told the National News Agency (RSS). He said the rainfall was recorded in the western part while the far-western region remained untouched by the recent development in the weather system.

The weather system which developed on Tuesday night will continue until Thursday evening with expectations of a finer weather on Friday.
