Locals obstruct road after their village gets covered with dust
CHITWAN, Oct 18: Locals at Ramnagar in Chitwan district have closed the highway since Sunday morning over a dispute following a road accident on October 16.
Passengers have been stranded due to the disruption of the traffic on the highway at Ramnagar, which is the main transit to the capital. Hundreds of passengers heading towards their home for the Tihar festival and now stranded at Ramnagar have been annoyed due to the blockade.
Yamnath Devkota and Sashidhar Gaire, both residents of Ramnagar were injured after an ambulance hit them Friday evening and the locals and their relatives have disrupted traffic on the highway demanding money for their treatment.
They are also demanding release of two local youths who were arrested for smashing the vehicle belonging to the District Police Chief.
