KATHMANDU, July 5: Locals of Rapti Municipality-3 of Chitwan district obstructed vehicular movements in the Jurjure-section of the East-West Highway on Monday demanding a fair investigation into Sujita Bhandari’s abduction and subsequent murder.
Sujita Bhandari, 23, of Rapti Municipality-3 of Chitwan district, who went missing on June 25, was found dead on Sunday evening. Her dead body was recovered from Brahmasthan Community Forest.
The agitating locals also did not allow an ambulance carrying the dead body to go to Bharatpur Hospital.
According to the chief district officer Prem Lal Lamichhane, the government officials are doing their best to open the Highway through dialogue with agitating local people.
