Locals have accused the staffers of Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of seizing the land in the cahoots with the businessmen in the name of renting it out.

Of the total 70 ropanis of land, locals had been using 40 ropanis of land as a public space.

Radio Nepal had rented out this land to Shree Kubergyan Housing Company Pvt. Ltd one year ago. However, the company has not been able to use it due to the locals’ protest.

Locals have been demanding that Radio Nepal itself use this land otherwise it should be left unused.
