Limbu, who played his round on the first day on Friday, collected 33 points to win the title. Capt Hem Bahadur Thapa, who also played on the first day, finished second with 31 points.[break]
As the winner Limbu received Kathmandu-Bangkok-Kathmandu tickets for two, Thapa earned Kathmandu-Pokhara-Kathmandu air tickets. Played under stableford ¾ handicap format, no players could come good on the second day.
Uma Tiwari won the women´s section title with 28 points, coming ahead of Shastika Shrestha who scored 27 points to secure second place on count back.
Rabin Rana took home best gross and most birdies award. Likewise, Tashi Tsering won the longest drive award and Laxmi Man Maharjan bagged the closest to the pin award.
A total of 28 players had completed their rounds on Friday, while other 52 amateur golfers played on Saturday.
The tournament was organized by Himalayan Distillery Limited under the sponsorship of Seagram´s Royal Stag and supported by QFX Cinema, The Himalayan Times, Hotel Annapurna, Hotel Shangrila, The Factory and Party Nepal.
